My oldest kiddo had little league practice last night and once the sun started going down that wind was COLD. My other two kids looked like red popsicles. It really looked nice outside, sun and all but geez it was just too cold. It felt more like winter.

My best friend from High School has been MIA for years. I tried to find her and never could. She emailed me today. She found me through the reunion site some of the girls had set up for our 20th reunion. Gosh, I can't believe I've been out of High School for 20 years now. I can't wait to catch up with my friend. We were so different but so close in school.

the thermometer says it's 30F outside. To me that's not spring! All the kids got up with one of those nasty congested coughs. Two of them have had cold and allergy symptoms for about a week. The other one was fine until he went to tee ball practice and it was cold and VERY windy. He has another practice today but I don' know if he should if it's cold and he sounds like a dying horse when he coughs. Tell me why they would do back to back practices for little kids anyway?

My sinuses hurt! I'm so afraid of what it's going to be like when more than just a few trees are putting out pollen. Tree's having sex! That's what is making me so miserable. I guess I can be thankful I've only had one asthma attack today. Hopefully it will be the only one.
The kids are so loud today too. They aren't being bad, they are actually playing together really nicely. No fighting, using household objects and using their imaginations but they are LOUD. My poor ears. I wonder if I could find a pair of ear plugs. I used to have some to block out dh's snoring. Hmmm, he's been snoring a lot more lately maybe I should buy several pairs. I've got to run to the store today anyway.
I've been watching news today. Something I rarely get to do anymore. I'm really not sure what to think of any of the candidates running for president. So much mud slinging going on mostly by the media. There isn't ONE news source that I have found that isn't biased toward one candidate or the other. It frustrates me so. I'm one of those that wants the facts not some news director's or reporter's point of view.

icky gray outside today. I'm so ready for the sunshine and flowers of spring. Even if my allergies aren't. The pollen has been over 8 many times already and it's killing our allergies. I hate to see what happens when everything but a few trees start blooming. I have a love/hate relationship with spring because of our allergies.

wake up and feel like I was hit by a Mack truck today. I'm so tired of catching the kids colds. I can't wait until it warms up and cold season is over! I'm so tired all I want to do is sleep but with kids in the house that don't nap...Mommy doesn't nap.

We left the house at 8 am and got home about 40 minutes ago. Who knew standing out in the wind and running a 3 yo back and forth to the truck pee on her little potty would be so tiring. I did toss the ball a bit and played tag with the two kids who weren't actually playing ball at the moment.

It hasn't been two whole weeks since I finished my nasty antibiotics from the sinus infection I had. I have a sore throat. The oldest and youngest have been sniffling and coughing for days. I guess they shared yet again. It seems like they get every darn cold that goes around. Frankly I'm sick of it and darn I'm sick of them giving it to me! I don't remember having so many colds/sinus infections since I was a kid. I don't want another sinus infection, I don't want any more of those nasty antibiotics. The nasty, itchy rash they gave me on my arms and neck is just now starting to go away. May I scream now?

was going to Walmart and buying a toilet seat? The bugger cost $27 too. But it's one of those that has two seats on it. One for little kids tushes and one for adults all built into one. Why did I spend that on a seat like that instead of getting one of those $6 things that sits on top of a seat? Because they fall into an elongated bowl. Kids don't like falling into the cold water of the toilet! Bwahaha! It will make it easier for my little one too so she doesn't have to run upstairs to use one of the bathrooms, she can just use the one downstairs now.
I did buy some scraps of fabric and some quilt batting to attempt to make a quilt for my oldest. He has these three little baby blankets that he has loved to death. Actually I had spares of those and he loved those to death too. I told him I would take what pieces I could cut out of them (they are more holes than not) and make him a quilt. He's still attached to them and since he hasn't had them to sleep with he's been G R U M P Y! I'm hoping it will cheer him up since he's not been in a good mood and he's been arugmentative over EVERYTHING. It's either that or I'm packing him up and sending him to the gypsies. Not really but there are those days when I've had enough and he won't let things be. Those days bedtime is earlier!

but he still stinks at baseball. He had a lot of fun and can't wait until the next practice. That's a good thing, right?!?

which means I have to run to school early times two. For the life of me I don't understand why they let the entire county of schools out early on Wednesdays. It's supposed to be for teacher planning or something like that but really can a teacher prepare lesson plans in what an hour and 40 minutes a week? I know just being a sub there is a lot of prep to have extra work on hand just in case the teacher's lesson plan wasn't left or the worksheets or whatever didn't get copied. I always had extra work for the kids and reports I would fill out to leave for the teacher and principal so they knew how the day went. So I figure regular teachers have much more work to do than that.

know if I know how to ;) Any lots and lots of busy things going on here. Both boys started Little League. Christoph is in his first year of Tee Ball. James well he's technically on two teams and they still haven't sorted out which one he's supposed to be on. I think I may solve that for them! He's not that good at ball, well to be honest he's horrible. Bad thing to say but he really isn't an atheltic kid at all and I found out that 7 years old can do another year of tee ball so I think I'll ask if he can get bumped back to that. He just likes being out there with his friends. He's just horrible at watching he ball, he can't hit the ball, he can't catch. BUT I keep encouraging since he "thinks" he knows how to play and wants to play.
Christoph hit the ball first time at the tee, James couldn't do that, he missed more times than not. However, Christoph got upset because he couldn't get to the ball in the outfield first when it was hit so we has some tears and pouting over that. It was his own fault though he didn't keep his eye on the ball the entire time. Some of the time he was twirling on the field or sitting in the mud. I just don't know what to do, they want to play ball so they say.
Kerstin has two more years before she can play. She is great with throwing and catching so I think she'll do pretty good. She lives to play catch every day I think, lol. How ironic will it be to have two older brothers and be better at sports than they are? As their mom I would like them to be good at everything they try, but we all know that doesn't happen. All I can do is encourage them to do their very best.
