Our trip wasn't uneventful

I was making one last round of the house before we headed out and I saw hubby's black leather binder on the stove. I figured he left it there so he could go in and take one last look around to make sure things were in order. In this binder was our driving directions, hotel reservations, his passport, contact numbers for his new job, our apartment info and the combo to get the lock box open so we could get in. WELL, he fusses at me for not bringing it out to him and comes in to get it. He tells me it was the one thing he would drive 100 miles back to get.

SO, I lock up the house and head outside where he was pulling the van back up to the trailer. I however did not know that he had put the binder on top of the van because our daughter had decided to undo her seatbelt and he had to put it back on her.

We got about 4 miles down the road and he was reaching all around trying to find where he put the binder. He even accused me of sitting on it. I lifted my butt out of the seat so he could see I was only sitting on the seat and nothing else.

So we went back to the house looking all around the house and in the van and trailer for it. No binder. We drove VERY slow over the four miles taking about 40 minutes to look for it. Still no binder. So he was resolved it was lost forever and we were trying to figure out who you had to contact to report a missing passport.

A couple of hours down the road we stopped for lunch then headed off again and his cell phone rang. Some woman had found his binder. He tried to call a former co worker to see if he would pick it up and mail it to him, but there was no answer. So I called the woman back and told her we were turning around to come get it. She was very nice and wouldn't even take the money hubby tried to give her for her time and hassel of looking through his binder to find where he had once written his cell phone number when he was on the phone interviewing with his new company.

SO, then we went back out on the road and got to mil's house by the time it was bed time for the kids. We stayed there Sunday night too and headed out early Monday morning.

The rest of the trip was good though. Not too much traffic except for the bigger city areas. The first night we stayed at Fairfield Inn. It was nice since it had two king beds and a sleeper sofa. We got up early and headed back out again and slept in another Marriot hotel but I don't remember which one. It had two bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room. I think I would prefer to stay there than in the apartment we came to the next day.

It smells of old cigarette smoke and something awful musty which I think is coming from the garbage disposal in the sink. I poured bleach in it and it helped but it still smells. It's going to rain today so I can't open the windows to air things out. We're not used to the time change so we're up early these days. It's only an hour from what we're used to but darn it feels like ten hours!

I still have a few things to unpack but that should be done today. Most all of our other things went to storage until Dec. 20th. I'm hoping our house in Maryland sells so we can look for another house because I hate living in an apartment with people walking on our heads and boy it's hard to keep my kids quiet all the time. I have come to the conclusion I have very loud kids

There's nothing left in the house but dust bunnies

and HUGE dust bunnies they are! So as soon as the movers clean up the paper and tape mess I get to do the fun part of cleaning the house. They really messed up the floors. The tape they taped cardboard down to the floor with left large strips of brown sticky tape behind. Ironically the floor would have been easier to clean if they left the floor alone. The tape isn't coming up with any cleaners I have, even goof off. I spent HOURS the other week on my hands and knees scrubbing the very same floor too. :(

I'm so ready for this move to be over!

Okay not three more days like I posted...

But ONE more day now! The movers are coming and starting on Wednesday, not Thursday. Dh just informed me of that tonight. Ugh, I don't have time for it to be a day earlier. I have a meeting at school and I'm trying (still to get out of Jury duty) since it's a month long thing (or longer) and I'll no longer be a resident of this state after this week. I wrote them a letter explaining it but it wasn't good enough. They want proof. I say they can come see my house and the movers putting the stuff on the truck. Is that proof enough?

Three more days,

it's coming up fast! The movers will be here in 3 more days to start boxing up our stuff. I'm still having trouble trying to figure out how to pack the clothes we will need since we're still wearing them! The boys have school right up until Thursday and I can't send them to school naked. I'm so tired with all the stress; hubby and I aren't sleeping well. It's all his fault though! He had to go and get hired on at another place. At least they are going to pay him well. Now let's just pray this house sells quickly!

I don't have time for this!

My kidney area hurts like a $(%&^ and I think I have another UTI or the beginnings of one. I don't get it. I never got a UTI in my entire life until last year. I'm wondering if I have a kidney stone blocking something and causing all the problems.

All I know is I'm in pain, have a fever and am so tired. All things that make me uncomfortable and add to my stress since I still have so much to do before the movers get here on Thursday to start packing our junk.

Oh and to top it off I got a summons for jury duty. I wrote them a letter telling them I was moving the week of the dates they gave me. Not good enough, I'm still not excused even though I won't be a resident of the county or even stupid state the court is in. They still are demanding I show up. I fully expect the Sheriff to show up and haul me to jail for not showing up, lol.

So apparently Heather tagged me

so as far as I can figure by reading her blog http://liveasweknowit.blogspot.com/

I'm supposed to tell you 6 things about me you MAY NOT KNOW

1. I hate washing dishes. I mean REALLY hate washing them. I still do them or we'd have a big pile of dirty dishes and nothing to eat off of, lol.

2. I have a HUGE sweet tooth so I rarely buy sweets.

3. I don't mind washing laundry but I dispise folding it and putting it away.

4. I dislike painting walls but LOVE painting pictures. I'm not that good at it but I still like to do it.

5. I still like to sit and color with the kids.

6. I have issues with socks. I can never find a pair that is comfortable so I'd rather go around the house in bare feet

Fall is in the air

It was 41F when I got up this morning. Enough to give me a chill yet still warm enough to feel wonderful. Nice and crisp. I won't be here long enough to see all the trees change color though. Bummer since they are all so beautiful. I don't think I'll be seeing many trees in the "city" area we'll be going to. Here were right smack next to a reforestation area. Huge trees and no other houses next to us. It's nice and quiet too. That's about the only thing I'll miss about this place.

How did 3 weeks turn into 10 days so quickly?

In 10 more days the movers will be here to pack. Then the next day they will be putting all of our stuff on a truck headed for a storage building in Alabama. I *just* realized the boys are off of school that day for some sort or teacher's professional day or something. It's not going to help with them freaking out that their stuff is leaving. Ugh, not going to be a fun day trying to keep all 3 kids busy and out of the way.

Three more weeks...

and we'll be in Alabama. That's where dh took a new job. I'm up with stress insomnia right now. Well that and I'm in a TON of pain. I can't even get comfy with 800mg of ibuprofen in my body. I hate this!

I'm worried about how I'll get the kids registered for school. We'll be in housing provided by dh's company or through a relocation company and we won't have any proof of residence to sign them up for school.

All of the crap that needs to be done has fallen on me. He gives me the packets of crap for me to decide everything while he's upstairs snoring. I don't know the area and I don't know which areas have the best school districts so we can start looking for a place right away. Ideally I'd like the temporary housing (that is if we can get some sort of proof of residence) to be in the same area where we will move to after the 60 days the company is paying for. That way the kids won't have to move to yet another school.

I don't know...I really don't.
